Project Summary
Wave International was commissioned to design a new stockpile reclaim conveyor at a port to replace a damaged one. Although the brief aimed to reuse the previous design, increased capacity requirements and operational improvements led to a complete redesign. Wave provided mechanical, structural, and electrical design services, including 3D modelling, shop detailing, and the design of pneumatically operated reclaim chutes. The design addressed complex constraints such as limited concave radius and fixed openings in existing infrastructure. The result was a high-performance conveyor system delivered within the existing geometry and operational requirements.
