Project Summary
Rocktech is proposing to build a 24.000 tonnes per year merchant lithium converter in Guben, Germany. Their advanced project development status positions the Company as first-mover in the region. Producing in the vicinity of its customers guarantees supply-chain transparency and just in time delivery.
Wave was commissioned to deliver a comprehensive suite of services for the development of their Guben LHM Facility project. An integrated management team approach was adopted to ensure seamless execution across all phases of the project. The trade-off studies included consideration of different lithium products, plant locations, and the option for split plants between Canada and Germany. A full PFS (Pre-feasibility Study) level study was completed on both a full train, and an intermediary lithium sulphate train, in Canada including cold weather design inclusions.
The project outcomes included the production of high-quality lithium compound samples, a robust economic model validating the project’s feasibility, and the establishment of a solid foundation for future expansion.
