Wave International was appointed by Karara Mining Limited (KML) in 2017 to investigate unsaturated properties of the KML tailings material and a specialist geotechnical laboratory was commissioned to carry out the testing work. Subsequent to this Waldo Dressel from Wave International co-authored a technical paper, “Characterisation of Unsaturated Geotechnical Properties of Filtered Magnetite Tailings in a Dry Stack Facility” which was presented in April 2018 at the 21st International Seminar on Paste and Thickened Tailings (Paste2018):
