Project Summary
Wave International (Wave) was engaged by Big River Gold to develop a DFS for the Borborema Gold Project in Brazil. The scope covered engineering, process design, and testwork for an open-pit mining operation leading to a 2Mtpa processing plant, which integrates crushing, SAG, and ball mill circuits with INCO cyanide detoxification and dry stacking of tailings.
Our specialised team orchestrated all testwork, design, cost calculations, project management, and prepared the DFS under an integrated team management approach, ensuring all critical information and metrics were precisely delivered for project stakeholders and potential investors. The DFS affirmed the Borborema Gold Project’s economic strength and was completed on schedule, adhering to the highest international standards of accuracy. Thus, positioning the Borborema project as a viable and promising venture, ready to proceed to the next stages of development. The Borborema Project is located in the Seridó region, in Rio Grande do Norte state, Northeast of Brazil. Borborema consists of three mining concessions covering a total area of 29 km² plus the title to the main area of the prospect.
