Wave International was commissioned as the materials handling sub-consultant for the Port Enhancement Prefeasibility Study.

Working in conjunction with the prime consultant team, Wave International was responsible for the budget pricing and conceptual development of the proposed materials handling systems at the sea port, transport corridor and land port. The proposed materials handling systems consisted of enclosed conveyors, a dual rail car dumper, overland conveyors, shiploaders and tripper and reclaim conveyors of storage sheds.

EsPA gained an in depth understanding of key issues that can be addressed to improve the performance of the port in the short term as well as future expansion options at the port, land port and transport corridor.

The proposed staged development allows the Client to facilitate the expenditure of capital to match the growth in the market.
